(She was born on February 3, 1810 2 and died on September 11, 1834 in Deerfield, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire 2,3. She is buried in the Stearns Cemetery, Deerfield, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire.) They had one child: Sarah C. Stearns (1834-1834)

Ruth Stearns was born on November 6, 1789 in Pittsfield, Merrimack Co., New Hampshire ^1,2,12. She died on January 5, 1885 in Deerfield, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire ^1,12. She is buried in the Freese-Fogg Cemetery, Deerfield, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire.

Ruth spent the first part of her youth in Pittsfield, New Hampshire. They remained there until 1801 (when at the age of 11 or 12), she moved with her family to Deerfield, New Hampshire. Ruth spent the remainder of her life in Deerfield. In 1810, at the age of 21, she married Dudley Freese, an aspiring young man from the town. After his untimely death in 1843, Ruth lived with her youngest daughter Martha and her family. She lived to be 95 years old.
